A trust badge is only useful if readers know what it means. On this directory, “Team reviewed” refers to the listing publication process, not a blanket endorsement of the business.
What we check before publication
We look for a coherent business or service offer, suitable categorisation, usable public contact information, obvious spam or misleading content, and enough detail for a reader to understand what is being offered.
What we may ask for
If a profile makes a material claim about qualifications, licences or other facts that require evidence, we may ask for supporting information before showing that claim as verified.
What the badge does not guarantee
It does not guarantee future workmanship, safety, availability or suitability for a particular customer. Those decisions still require direct confirmation and, where relevant, independent checks.
Why we separate trust signals
Owner claim, customer reviews and Readers’ Pick voting answer different questions. Showing them separately makes it easier to understand what each signal actually represents.
